Looking for something more meaningful than a dinner reservation? Host your own sourdough experience.
The Private Sourdough Gathering is a curated, hands-on workshop designed for birthdays, girls’ weekends, family celebrations, retreats, or simply an afternoon spent learning something beautiful together.
This is not a public class.
It’s your time. Your people. Your table.
Over three hours, your group will learn the art of natural sourdough from start to finish — mixing, autolyse, stretch & folds, bulk fermentation, and baking — along with fermentation basics and starter care. Light snacks and refreshments are included.
Each participant will leave with:
The loaf they made
An 8 oz jar of artisan jam from Beth’s Farm Kitchen
A jar of my 1969 sourdough starter, “Jerry”
A printed recipe card
A simple starter care guide
This isn’t about watching someone cook.
It’s about putting your hands in the dough, learning something real, and leaving with skills you’ll use again and again.
Private Gatherings begin at $800 and are capped at 10 guests to preserve the intimacy and hands-on nature of the class.
Elevated food spreads, wine pairings, seasonal themes, or extended experiences are available upon request.
If you’re interested in hosting your own gathering, please fill out the inquiry form below and we’ll take it from there.
If there are questions before booking, please send an email to cassidy@eldestdaughterbv.com
Give an experience. Keep the love rising.
This hands-on sourdough workshop is designed for both beginners and experienced bakers — no prior experience needed.
From 1 pm - 4 pm on a Saturday (see date options at checkout), we’ll take a deep dive into the art of sourdough: maintaining a starter, fermentation 101, raising bread naturally, and a bit of the history behind yeast cultivation. You’ll learn each stage of the process step-by-step — mixing, autolyse, stretch & folds, bulk fermentation, and baking — so you can confidently replicate it at home.
This is not a demonstration. It’s immersive, small-group instruction capped at 10 people.
During class, refreshments and snacks will be available, and each participant will leave with:
The loaf of bread they made
An 8 oz jar of artisan jam from Beth’s Farm Kitchen
A jar of my 1969 sourdough starter, “Jerry”
A printed recipe card to recreate your loaf
A simple starter care guide
The knowledge and confidence to keep baking!
Because the best baked goods?
They’ve got love inside.
